Next days with this beautiful phone I was planning what I wanted to do with it, I wanted to record thousands of videos with friends and take thousands of pictures but unfortunately our times don't coincide now like before, even though we managed to spend time together and record some of our moments.

The apps that I wanted to try first and foremost were the picture apps, downloaded Creative Studio and Camera Extras, a nice app from Nokia that allows me to add some nice effects, take panoramas, cut, adjust   bright, exposition, contrast and  rotate the pics, plus I could take multiple shots and have a  timer, thanks to Nokia developers.
The 2nd app that I used was Face Swap a funny app that allows me to swap faces with friends in a group photo, I'll show examples about it.

Next it was LOMOGRAM just to find out what an amazing app it is, it allows me to edit pictures without needing to crop it to 1x1, has some great filters and pictures look genuine, it doesn't change the quality of the pictures and in my case I don't need another social network like Instagram to share them, from there I uploaded most of my pictures to Facebook and Twitter, also I used the built in Share that Windows Phone has which uploads even faster, but when it comes to editing pics this app is awesome.

I also tried Instacam which requires an Instagram account, it has some nice effects too the things is that pictures have to be cropped, but in the whole it is good.

Checked at the marketplace and of course I tried to more funny apps like Fat You!, Age My Face Pro, Rage My Face, Meme Generator... all these work great I uploaded some pics to my social networks from the first two. Very Funny.

ColorizeIt is one great application, allowing me to color or decolor my pictures, the results are beautiful.

Phototastic allowed me to put pictures together and make a resume of a day with friends, the result is nice.

In general these are the apps I have used so far, I haven't properly searched for an app to edit videos and still don't know if there's one, if anyone knows just let me know, please.

when it comes to games, of course I created my Xbox Live avatar "DaveCaliCo" and they load as all the apps in this phone, very fast, the game I have played the most is Wordament which doesn't really require that much of hardware, but tried some others like Fruit Ninja, Dalton The Awesome, Logos Quiz, Angry Birds, Nokia Climate Mission, I still a lot more of game to try, and yes, for FREE, I don't complain because angry birds levels are not free when I have a thousand more games waiting for me to play them.

Nokia Music and Zune are all I need to play my favourite songs, I even have the chance to hear playlist they make for us, music consumers to play for free in case you just want to hear something different or you are with friends with different music taste, I liked the feature that shows me the next 3 songs. By the way if anyone is annoyed for music always appearing in the volume bar, try Stop Music in the marketplace it will make music disappear from there. (was not  a problem for me but I tried it).

The marketplace in general is not an "empty" as some described in reviews in youtube before, I really had to have it in my hands to realize it's full of useful applications, the best of all they all keep the aesthetic of Windows Phone and they all run fast, some of them require internet connection which in my case is not that fast sometimes (3.5G) so I don't blame it on the phone, I have the apps I want, the apps I use and even more than what I really need, That simple.

Sharing my data connection, using Lumia 900 as a WiFi spot is built in which is very useful when my internet connection is just not working or to share with friends, they loved it haha. Calendar keeps me updated with facebook events all the time, I find it fascinating because it makes me feel like I always have somewhere to go, an event to attend or something to do haha.

It's time for Facebook, Twitter and Youtube app for Windows Phone.

First Facebook, an application that in any mobile version feels the same than desktop, useful of course but just not the same, privacy settings can't be edited or maybe erasing a post is not that simple, I prefered using it on Internet Explorer which is built in for Windos Phone and is very efficient, loads fast and zooming and srufing through it DOES work. Anyway who needs facebook app when the People Hub and Me has everything I need to keep in touch with contacts, the only issue would be tagging a friend on a status, but for tagging pictures it works perfectly, I have my Facebook pictures with my all my albums and I can upload a picture with just one click, there is no need to open another app to do that.

I feel the same way about Twitter, it's fast, useful if what you need is to simply tweet and search tweets, it even looks pretty though but I prefered to open it on Internet Explorer, to look for the trending topics and to use it the way i'm used to, IE feels better for me. Uploading pictures to it is just two clicks far: Share-Twitter and that's it. In the app, as on facebook I can post pictures and my location too. Personally I use Me Hub to do that. I love how it connects all my social networks in one. Facebook, Twitter and Windows Live.

Youtube works fine, personally I still don't get use to youtubing on my phone but I tried this and I liked it as mobile version of youtube, it needs to be allowed to play in background but if you really think about it why would you want to open youtube and not to have in front for the next song. It would be nice if the videos only pause and not completely stop, but there are some other Youtube apps like Metro Tube, Tube Pro that work as good as the built in with some improvements, worth to download.

Skype is another app I used, I'm not  a frequent skype user but when I did it was amazing, the front camera quality is amazing, the sound was perfect, and I could perfectly be heared, the only issue was touching by mistake the Start button or going to another app while I was in a videocall but It's not a huge problem and I think they will fix it soon. Videocalling on Skype WORKS and looks GOOD on Windows Phone.

Checking-in at the airport - Foursquare

Foursquare is beautiful (Don't know how many times I have used this word but almost everything related to Lumia 900 and windows phone is) I think this app looks better in WP than in any other platform ever, colorful and useful for checking in at my favourite places or simply where I remembered to check in, I have used it like never before and actually I'm getting used to check in everywhere I go, I will miss this one :(


Messaging works properly, facebook chat, msn and gmail all-together, allows me to stay in touch everywhere, this is a very social platform, Lumia series would feel very lonely if people just don't have  a facebook or twitter account, they would still have a great camera to take pictures and share with...themselves? and an amazingly fast platform to run their favourite-not social apps.
That is not my case, I enjoy this phone every single moment, and I think until today I have used all of its features to the maximum, I love it and I don't want this amazing journey to end anytime soon, since here in Colombia it would take me months and months to afford it, a great well-paid job or a nicer data plan I could pay than what they are offering at the moment, It's sad that mobile operators here are blind with what sells the most without giving us customers the chance to discover Windows Phone for a more accesible price.

I hope I didn't miss any detail of what I have discovered of the Windows Phone world with Nokia Lumia 900, next I want to show a bit of my everyday life where I live thru pictures.
